Can you  promote your products on social networking sites?

Yes, by setting up a fan page on Facebook, you can post  articles, audio, or video, or a combination of all three. This is a good way to allow people to get to know you and what you are all about.  You can set up tweets on Twitter leading people to your articles on your site or your landing page.

But one crucial point I’d like to share with you that I’ve learned.  In social networking, it’s important to build relationships, get into conversations with people, and share.  Otherwise your marketing efforts will appear like canned meat.  Trust tends to run high on social networks, like Facebook and Twitter.  As more people interact, value and the trust increases, and word of mouth, which is viral in nature, become infectious.

Who are you marketing to? Who is your your target audience?  Whether you have your own product or you are selling affiliate products, your audience needs to feel you are speaking directly to them.  Whatever it is you are saying, say it to those who are going to benefit the most by it, and that of course means your target audience.
